About Patrick Larsen

Patrick Larsen is an Emmy Award–winning production designer, scenographer and creative director, and the founder of Studio Bound, a Singapore-based design studio.

For more than two decades, Larsen has designed the physical worlds behind some of the largest live experiences staged anywhere — opening and closing ceremonies, national celebrations, theme-park attractions, resident shows and broadcast environments. He is known for translating a story or a brand into space at scale: structures that move, environments audiences walk through, and sets built to perform on camera and in front of stadium crowds alike.

His credits include the opening and closing ceremonies of Expo 2020 Dubai, Singapore’s National Day Parade, and the Darb Lusail Festival in Qatar. In themed entertainment he has worked on Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and Sun Group’s Ba Na Hills in Vietnam. His resident and touring work spans Bob Marley Hope Road in Las Vegas, Souk Wonders and Terhal in Saudi Arabia, Splendor (the Taihu Show) in Wuxi, Lightseeker at Resorts World Sentosa, Varuna in Bali, and the Metaverse of Magic tour in Australia. In broadcast, he designed sets for CTV’s Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, BBC Sport’s Rio 2016 and Wimbledon coverage, and NBC News’ Education Nation.

Larsen received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft (Scenic Design) for Education Nation, a BDA Gold Award for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics set, and a BDA Silver Award for Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN.

Born in St. George, Utah, he holds a BFA from Utah State University and an MFA from the University of California, San Diego. He founded Studio Bound in 2015 and works across Asia, the Middle East and beyond.
